History

     The site began service as recreational rental property in 1963, when 14 individual cabins were moved intact from the south side of La Crosse, WI to the site in Trempealeau.  The cabins were the former "Krause Kourt Kabins" and were located at Hwy 33 and Losey Blvd in La Crosse.  The cabins and the recreational site were renamed "Green Gable Camp" and included RV and tent camping as well as the cabins.  The area was also known as "Sportsman's Paradise".

      Today only 2 of the original cabins remain, however much of the original infrastructure is still in use.
